Jacquelyn began her athletic career at a young age. Her passion for movement and health provided direction in her life, especially in her career and lifestyle goals. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois, she continued to pursue her passions. Her career began as an NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) trainer for collegiate and professional athletes looking for sport performance, and as an NSCA-CSCS (National Strength and Conditioning Association) coaching athletes in strength and conditioning.

As an athlete herself, an avid runner and marathoner, Jacquelyn found Pilates as a way to stay injury free, find balance, build uniform strength, and overall increased well-being. She became a Fletcher Pilates teacher in 2009 and has assisted in teacher training as an adjunct Fletcher faculty member. According to Jacquelyn, the most rewarding aspect of teaching Pilates is allowing people to move better in the body they have – to eliminate pain, strengthen weaknesses, and improve performance. In addition to teaching Pilates and to supplement her love of running, Jacquelyn became a Shred415 instructor. Outside of teaching in a studio or gym, Jacquelyn designs workout programs for clients to use when traveling or for those that don’t have time or the resources to go to a gym.

Continuing to lay the foundations that have led to MindFuel Wellness, Jacquelyn has experience working in corporate fitness: teaching classes and designing wellness programs/initiatives to better the health, wellness, nutrition, and productivity of employees. Working in the fitness industry since 2003 has formed the basis of MindFuel Wellness, where her love for movement and passion for helping others can be shared in a new way.

Kelly has been an avid yoga practitioner for over 17 years; she was introduced to yoga by a friend who brought her to a class to help rehab a knee injury. Kelly was immediately drawn to the therapeutic benefits and healing power of the practice and so began her journey. While living in San Francisco, Kelly practiced Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Bikram yoga. She found that these styles complement one another and the variety kept her growing as a student and sparked her desire to teach.

Kelly began her teaching career after completing Bikram’s Teacher Training in 2003. Several years later, she was introduced to Baptiste Power Vinyasa. She loves the flow and energy of the classes and was inspired to teach Baptiste Power Vinyasa. Kelly completed her Level 1 Teacher Training in 2008, Level 2 Teacher Training in 2009 and became a certified Baptiste teacher in 2010. She also completed the Art of Assisting program with Gregor Singleton and Paige Elenson in 2010 and assisted the Art of Assisting program in 2012. Most recently, Kelly completed Yogaview’s Level 2 Teacher Training in the Spring of 2014.  She is also certified in prenatal yoga and loves working with pregnant and post-natal moms. A couple highlights of Kelly's teaching career are when she taught at lululemon's "Hit an Om Run" at Wrigley Field in July 2013 and at Wanderlust’s “Yoga in the City” event in Grant Park in May 2014.

Whether practicing or teaching, Kelly approaches yoga with love and openness. She brings positive energy to her teaching as she nurtures and respects the individuality of each student. Kelly’s passion for teaching is rooted in her love of movement and her commitment to healthy, mindful living. Kelly is a mom of three boys and is inspired by their vitality and pure delight in the moment.
